Siku 1940 Mercedes Sprinter aerial work platform
The second delivery of Siku regarding the 2015 novelties has arrived, and then it is always an unpacking party.
This also included the Mercedes Sprinter aerial work platform in the scale 1:50.
37 years after the appearance of the predecessor of this model, there is finally another aerial work platform in the Siku range.
The predecessor was made from 1978 to 1982.
As for the new model, the bodywork was made by the company Versalift and no secret has been made of that, given the print on the sides of the orange model.
Just like the basic model, this Sprinter also has all the options to open the doors.
Even the sliding door on the right side has not been forgotten! The striking contraption on the roof is of course the most beautiful thing about the model, which is of course for sale at ToyCarDealer.
This aerial platform can turn in all directions just like in real life and also remains perfectly in any desired position.
Something that was different in the past with its predecessor (number 2219), the Mercedes 406 aerial platform.
The latter also had a similar aerial platform on the roof, but it was always characteristic that with many models the lifting arm could not remain in the height.
Of the four models that I now have in my collection, there are two that do not work properly. In principle, that does not detract from the model, but it is a shame.
And Siku has apparently made the view well and has not made the same mistake again.
The nice thing is that the lever itself can also be extended, which was not possible in the previous model. Conclusion I cannot continue to praise every model that comes out.
But Siku has made it difficult for me lately to pick a lesser model.
Maybe an idea to choose the ugliest model ever?
The design is heavy, well finished and can show itself among more expensive brands such as NZG.
Enough playing possibilities and the price is not too high either.
