Discontinued Models 2015

An overview of models that will no longer be made by Siku from this year onwards.

The term used for this is the term 'discontinued models'.

For many, this is a last chance to quickly supplement the missing models.

There are often several reasons why models are no longer being made: as a manufacturer, you keep your collection up-to-date, you make room for new models and you can replace editions that sell less well.

What is striking this year is that the BAG Transporter, the VW Amarok, the Pulling tractor and the two 1 in 43 controllable cars are already being discontinued.

These models were included in the programme for a relatively short time.

On the other hand, it is now time to replace the 1 in 55 tram that has been made since 1999.

Not a record in itself, but it was time to make a nicer model of it. I personally expect a replacement model to be on the shelves next year or in 2017.

We'll wait and see!
